The latest version has many new features, and finally 10 bit colour processing. Looking pretty nice.

It appears to be a cross between a PMW-350 and a PDW-800. 50Mb 4:2:2 to SxS cards.

Sony have been working on a new single sensor to replace the common Bayer and RGB Stripe style for some time now. There might be something coming to light about it soon hopefully. Here’s a quick explanation of the layout and it’s advantages.

Canon are showing an interesting 4K camera at the Canon Expo. Not a prototype, more a proof of concept apparently. Very little detail is available though.

Canon have just released details of two lower end versions of the XF series. Still providing 50Mbit 4:2:2 to CF cards is good news.
